Call for Papers


Papers on computers, databases and the internet issues with particular reference to Indigenous intellectual property rights are solicited for submission to Talkin across country, talkin across the world: Indigenous knowledge in an online world. ATSILIRN Conference 2010.

Presentation Formats

We will accept the following types of presentations:

Lightning Talks (5 minutes)

Lightning talks are brief talks that focus on a single example, idea, project or library. They are not expected to cover all aspects of the subject. They are an excellent forum for first-time speakers.

Standard (30 minutes)

This is the preferred format. 25 minutes for talking and 5 minutes for questions. This is enough time to cover a few issues well and allows us to provide a good selection of talks throughout the day.

Authors will be notified of the acceptance of their proposal by the proposal acceptance date above. Obviously we would love to accept all proposals be we only have a certain number of sessions to fill. If you require faster confirmation of acceptance please communicate this to the committee when submitting your proposal.


3. Final Paper Deadline

Presenters are requested to submit a final paper by the deadline to the organisers for inclusion in the published papers of the conference. Speaker Benefits


Speakers, except for lightning talks and limited to 2 speakers per presentation, at Talkin across country, talkin across the world: Indigenous knowledge in an online world will receive free registration to the conference, including all lunches, morning and afternoon teas.
