BIG:Big Ideas, Big Collections, Big Picture

State Library Victoria
328 Swanston Street
Melbourne Victoria 7th – 8th July 2011

Programmes and initiatives to include Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, culture and issues in libraries and archives have grown exponentially over the past decade.

We have witnessed an increase in Indigenous employment as well as genuine outreach programmes to communities throughout Australia to make information services and collections more relevant and accessible. The National Indigenous Knowledge Centre Project has the potential to further develop these breakthroughs.

Libraries and archives across the country are developing best practice in the application of the ATSILIRN Protocols.

This ATSILIRN Conference is dedicated to sharing these big picture initiatives from our larger institutions with the aim of inspiring future development in the information world.

Come to Melbourne and share what’s deadly about your library or archive!
